Non-Ferrous Welding Alloys

Uniweld offers many types of welding alloys used for joining a wide variety of metals. When joining metals, the alloys being used should be similar, but not identical to the metal that is being joined. When joining dissimilar metals, the alloys will be different from one or both of the base metals.

Additional information

Uni-316L-16

• A stainless steel welding electrode with Carbon limited to a maximum of 0.04% that provides a weld deposit with corrosion resistant qualities and reduces the possibility of carbide precipitation.

• Good arc stability at low amperage

• Easy slag removal

Uni-99

• A high Nickel content electrode with an extruded coating for cold welding cast iron. Used to join ordinary gray irons to themselves or to other ferrous and nonferrous materials and for matching when repairing castings after welding.

• AC/DC reverse polarity (electrode +)

Uni-55

• A Nickel-Iron type electrode for welding cast iron in all positions. Used for repairs on engine blocks, manifolds, gear housings, transmission cases and gear teeth

• Strong, crack resistant, porosity free welds,

• Smooth, stable arc when using AC

• Machinable deposits

Uni-4043

• A premium Aluminum welding electrode for heat treated Aluminum, heavy castings, long joint and repairing cracks, filling holes and building up missing sections. Use as a brazing alloy.

StainMIG308L/StainTIG308L

• Gas shielded all position flux cored wire

• Low Carbon content minimizes carbide precipitation

• Ferrite values become lower as impact toughness increases

StainTIG316L

• A stainless steel, gas shielded flux cored wire for welding type 316, 316L, stainless steels. Contains molybdenum that resists pitting induced by sulfuric acids, chlorides and cellulose solutions

• Used in rayon, dye and paper making industries

AlumaMIG 4043/AlumaTIG 4043

• General purpose Aluminum welding wire

• Excellent crack sensitivity

• Produces bright weld deposits

• Excellent fluidity (wetting) due to high Silicon content

• Spray and flame metallizing wire

• Non-heat treatable

AlumaMIG 5356/AlumaTIG 5356

• Aluminum welding wire used mainly for welding Aluminum of like composition

• Deposits are high strength and very ductile

• Excellent color match after anodizing

• Moderate high strength capabilities

• Non-heat treatable
