Cadmium-Free Silver Brazing Alloys

UNI-1045FC Cadmium Free 45% Silver Solder

  • High strength
  • Excellent capillary flow
  • Very low working temperature
  • Good corrosion resistance and conductivity
  • Ideal for Brass, Steel, Nickel and Copper Alloy
AG700 is a high strength, flux coated, high silver bearing alloy which provides excellent capillary flow at a very low working temperature.
AG700 has a good corrosion resistance and conductivity

For use on all ferrous and non ferrous (not white) metals. Ideal for instrumentation, thin tubing, tool repairs and any delicate type of work. Results are outstanding when used on stainless steel. Also ideal for lap, tee, flange or square butt joints and tool tipping.

Procedure
Clean work surface. Remove dirt, grease, rust, and burrs from joint area. Joint fit-up should be .002" to .005" for best results. In complex joint configurations, apply extra flux. Use slightly carburizing flame. Melt off small quantity of flux from rod and heat joint area. broadly, until flux liquifies. Apply UNI-1045FC alloy as required to complete fillet. Keeping the torch in motion will help prevent overheating. Remove flux residue with hot water – 105°F (65°C)
